What is Virtual Machine?
Virtual Machine or Virtual PC is a Virtualization for Microsoft Operating systems, in simple terms, Its a very useful technology that helps you to run multiple operating systems on the same operating system.
In this tutorial i’m gonna show you how to run a virtual machine, there are many reasons you would want a virtual machine, may be you don’t like Microsoft vista and wants to use Windows XP or you want to try an application that could only support Windows XP then virtual machine is exactly what you want.
To Install Windows XP in virtual machine you gonna need a Windows XP installation disc and Microsoft virtual PC 2007, which if free to download. Once you downloaded Virtual PC 2007 and installed the same then run the program. It will ask you installation steps, Follow the steps from the below mentioned slideshow
Once you completed the above mentioned steps insert your windows XP operating system Disc in CD/DVD Drive and click on “Start” in Virtual PC 2007 console and it will start normal windows XP installation options. After completing the installation. virtual machine will start up just like a normal PC and you can use your favorite XP interface without uninstalling Vista or whichever operating system you using right now.
The Best feature of virtual of Virtual machine is if you close it you can slelect to delete the changes that you made. So, any bad software has been installed or you messed with the settings will get deleted.
